Once Upon a Time
CREATE YOUR CHARACTER
Familiarize yourself with the Universe. You don't need to understand beyond the main premise of the show in order to fully participate in the plot. But, take some time and read the Flash Threads that have already begun on Elliquiy. Try to get a feel for the different stories and locations already happening in the past, pre-Storybrooke. See how others are using RP as a way to develop the pasts of their characters.

Then take a gander at the Universe section of the website, try to grasp the maps, the businesses in Storybrooke, and who in our RP currently runs them. Pay attention to our growing list of powers and try to decide what you have in mind for your character - would their powers currently be listed or would you need to seek approval for new and different ones? Check out lore that we've added that isn't actually a part of the show. Is there any lore you would need added to fit your character in mechanically? Try visualizing and figuring some of this stuff out in your head before you begin building your character and it will help a great deal.

And finally, whether playing an OC or a canon (Since both have pretty much infinite wiggle room in character design), please figure out where it is you are drawing their inspiration. If they are characters in Disney or a Fairy Tale - know the story well enough to brainstorm ideas on how you might want it twisted, and what other characters in the RP you'd want to work with. Let it inspire you to create the character you want to play.

If it's not from a fairy tale but comes from popular literature instead, how will their world fit in with ours? Are the rules of magic the same? How do they connect with other realms?

Within Storybrooke, what is your character's new name? How were his memories reshaped for the modern town under the curse? Please have a history for the modern version of your character (Must still be approved by all characters these memories effect!)Do they remember the world before Storybrooke?

The aim is obviously to get your character approved. The GM and MOD are more than happy to help brainstorm, but the more you've thought it through on your own, the better the brainstorming session will go!

Click on the Applications link on our navigation menu and apply as a new player.
Final Touches
Once your character has been approved, you are all set to add your character to the approved thread. Take your time filling out all the details and have fun with it!

Optionally, you may choose to build a website to which will be attached to this one under "Player Pages". There you will have complete freedom over the look of your profile.

Then, if you want to roleplay - reach out to the characters you want to make flash threads with and come up with a couple ideas. We love the flash threads! Once we have enough players we will announce the start of the present-tense RP which all characters are welcome to be a part of, the Episodic Thread.

3. use the + symbol on the left hand toolbar to add things to the website as you see fit
4. change out pictures and texts as easy as if it were microsoft power point
5. To Save: click the button to the left of Preview
6. To Publish - click publish and done.
7. To see the link to send dshadow - click publish and it's right next to the view website option on the popup window
